Government and local authority planning policies promote the value of Inclusive Design in housing of all tenures. Involvement in a range of both government and Greater London Authority led initiatives, puts DBA at the cutting edge of current thinking on accessible housing standards. This in turn has enabled us to contribute to high profile schemes such as the Olympic Athletes Village.

The general wish of most disabled residents, supported by Government policy, is for adaptable mainstream housing rather than special needs accommodation. This acceptance by Government represented a breakthrough in thinking and is increasingly being achieved in projects such as the award winning Adelaide Wharf. It is a key feature of The Olympic Village, now East Village, across all types and tenures of residential accommodation provided.
