The issue of accessibility is of increasing concern to hotels with regard to both Government policy and the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA) legislation. With rising expectations, businesses are also increasingly aware of the impact of the DDA on their reputations. This is not solely because of the law, but also because they may wish to be exemplars providing a high standard of access for all visitors and staff including those with disabilities.
Hotels wish to ensure that they meet obligations under the DDA 1995. With this purpose in mind, DBA carry audits to review current access arrangements and to make recommendations for improvements.
