DBA recognises that for many of these nationally important historic buildings full compliance is not possible. Instead the aim of DBA is to provide practical provisions that align with current access standards without compromising the building fabric and while meeting the concerns of English Heritage and others.
DBA tries, where possible, to develop physical solutions whereby all visitors can access key attractions. However it accepts that elsewhere spaces and artifacts will remain unreached, unseen or unheard. In these circumstances DBA devise access alternatives such as virtual reality techniques to allow remote viewing.
